Good Morning! Our meditation for this morning is from Psalm 63:1-5.
What a privilege to be able to call God, “my God.” Sin made us foreigners to Him, illegal aliens, if you will. But God in His grace saved us and adopted us. Thus, He is now “my God.” Such is not a privilege to take for granted, but one to take advantage of. Therefore, we should seek our Father “earnestly,” and without reservation.
To grow in our knowledge of God is not a passive endeavor, but an active diligence to learn of Him through His word, and learning of His ways by walking His designated path. Such a passion is like how we seek water when we have been long in the heat of the day. As we seek God with such diligence, we will notice His power and glory in our life. We will also experience, time and again, God’s lavishing of His lovingkindness, which will elicit from the depths of our soul and the fruit of our lips praise, glorious praise, to His holy name. This is how we come to know and experience true satisfaction.
